Frontline Plus for dogs also works well on kittens and cats. Dogs of all ages from the young puppy or kitten of 8 weeks old to mature adults can benefit from the active ingredient, Fipronil, which is in the spray variety of this treatment. Many pet owners often want to know how they can rid their animal of fleas before these pets lay eggs.

The good news is that an adult flea must be on your pet for at least 24 hours or up to 36 hours before it can lay a single egg. Frontline Plus for dogs comes in a spray form that offers immediate distribution over your kitten, puppy or dog’s entire body and the results are just as quick. Fleas are exterminated just after the application has been completed. It’s the kind of relieve you want to give your pet and Frontline for dogs works well. According to the research conducted, Frontline Plus for dogs is a part of the Frontline brand of products that kills fleas in 12 hours after application so they do not lay eggs.
Some important information about Frontline spray follows for questions that people frequently ask.

Many want to know if their Frontline for dogs product will expire if it is not used within a certain amount of time. The answer is no. The product should be stored at room temperature and remain in the packaging purchased in. For pets who love the water, many ask how long should it be before my dog can go swimming or get a bath. The application area should be completely dry before allowing your pet to get wet. Drying is typically complete within 24 hours. Likewise, if you have just bathed your animal, the product should not be applied until your pet has been completely dried.

Pets that are on medications are not at risk by using any Frontline for dogs products. This is because Frontline Plus for dogs spray is not systematically active and does not interact with the dog’s medications taken in that manner. Some people who have tried various flea and tick control solutions subsequently find Frontline Plus for dogs and want to use it as well but are concerned about interactions or if it is safe for their pet. The good news is that Frontline for dogs does not interact with other pest control products. The recommendation is that you want a minimum of 24 between the
applications.

The Frontline for dogs label claims, which went into effect as of May 2003, indicate that the spray version should not be used on dogs or cats that are breeding, lactating or pregnant. Chewing lice are destroyed rapidly. Sacroptic mange infestation can be controlled on dogs with these products. The small size is approved for dogs that weigh no more than 22 pounds. All of the Frontline for dogs products are safe and approved for kittens, puppies or dogs who are at least 8 weeks of age.

Here are some comments as well:

- My vet recommended the Frontline product for my new puppy. Although I had found I didn’t care for the application protection style of it, I followed the recommendation anyway. It made my puppy rather greasy…

- We are located in a heavily wooded area and our pets love to run through the woods. Flea collars have been unsuccessful as well as expensive and we had been having a hard time with finding a product to control fleas and ticks. Fortunately we kept looking and found…

- Frontline for dogs works great for dogs under 15 pounds. I have a Chihuahua that only weighs…

- I am in Florida and fleas don’t go on vacation. Fortunately, I found Frontline and my small dog gets complete protection from the spray, which I love because…

- When we adopted our little Rat Terrier from the rescue shelter where he had been for just a few days, we got him home and discovered he came with a few gifts. One was a nicely sized 8.5 ounce bottle of…

- I reside in an area of Connecticut that is known for having plenty of Deer Ticks around. With Lyme disease being a very real risk for our dogs, we watch for the warning signs that there’s trouble to deal with. A first warning indicator is a red…

- If you’re like me, just the sight of ticks and fleas and knowing the damage they can cause to your dog and you can give you the willies. Once you get that itch, there’s nothing that really calms your nerves or eases your fears. That’s why it’s so important to be 100% positive…

- There’s an old cartoon that really makes a funny but serious joke of how troublesome fleas are to a dog. This flea gets in the dog’s hair and sets up housekeeping. As a person, we can use our arms and hands to get a bug off our backs. Your dog is not so fortunate so imagine what torture it is to…

- Your pet population may not be as large as ours; we have a host of cats and one lovable doggy so we needed something that was economical and effective. Fortunately we found a product that’s safe enough for all ages and ensures that everyone is protected whether indoors or…

- I had one of the most problematic tick problems with my dogs in the past but when I found Frontline, things improved. Now all my dogs are using this great product and we haven’t had…
